Understanding Colour for Print

A technical understanding of the way colour works is essential for anyone involved in the design or production of 4 colour printed books.

This course is designed to help you improve your skills so that you are able you to take the right decisions when colour correcting or press checking.

The day combines theory and practical exercises and is illustrated throughout with plenty of samples. Topics include the different colour spaces, RGB to CMYK conversions, colour management and the use of colour profiles. We look at the repro process and discuss the different types of proofing systems and see how they relate to the printing process with its many variables.
