The Publishing Training Centre Extends Its Bursary Scheme For BME Students Studying For Book or Journal Related Masters Qualifications to All Qualifying Universities

For September 2009 The Publishing Training Centre is offering three bursaries to Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) students who have been offered places by UK universities on Masters’ level degrees. The degrees will qualify if their primary content covers Book and/or Journal Publishing.

 

Each bursary will be for £4,000 and may be used by the successful candidates to offset against the course fees, or for living expenses, or a combination of the two. Only one bursary will be awarded per institution. Multiple applications by individuals are not permitted.

All qualifying universities will differ slightly in their approach to receiving and forwarding potential candidates for consideration by PTC, but initial approaches should be by letter to the university that has made the offer. Applications will be judged in the first instance on the basis of need and then by the criteria above. Further details may be available from the university websites and current information will also be posted on the Publishing Training Centre website.
