Working in production, you have a key role in ensuring the success of your publishing programme. To be fully effective though, you need much more than technical knowledge.
This two-day course will help you develop the blend of project management, flexibility and interpersonal skills you need to manage the production process. It will help you with:
- effective planning
- identifying potential problems
- evaluating and monitoring progress
- dealing with others in the process
- getting your publications delivered on time and to budget.
The course focuses on individual personal competences, but is firmly grounded within the book production environment. Practical exercises, discussion and examples of best practice are all used to help you develop your skills. You probably already have some experience and a knowledge of the technical process, but this course will help you really take control of your publications – and your role.
