Day two
- Engaging in shared learning
- Building commitment: how to motivate people to go the extra mile
- Common problems experienced with people who are disengaged and how to overcome them
- Techniques for handling tensions and conflict between staff
- How to engage temporary and virtual teams to optimise their performance
- Engaging people to drive continuous improvements
- Finalising your Leadership Plan to improve performance.
Your tutor
Dr John Marrin specialises in how directors and managers effectively engage with each other and their staff to drive improvements in individual, team and organisational performance. He has almost 20 years' experience in developing managers and transforming most types of organisation throughout the UK. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Association of Management Development. He is continuing his research on 'Engaging People' via a DPhil.
Note that most of our short courses can also be run as in-company events.
