  • Developing the core skills for effectively Engaging People
  • Reflecting on and planning changes in your Leadership Style

 

Day two

  • Engaging in shared learning
  • Building commitment: how to motivate people to go the extra mile
  • Common problems experienced with people who are disengaged and how to overcome them
  • Techniques for handling tensions and conflict between staff
  • How to engage temporary and virtual teams to optimise their performance
  • Engaging people to drive continuous improvements
  • Finalising your Leadership Plan to improve performance

 

Note: this course is an updated version of Leading an Effective Team.

 

Your tutor

John Marrin specialises in how directors and managers effectively engage with each other and their staff to drive improvements in individual, team and organisational performance. He has almost twenty years' experience in developing managers and transforming most types of organisation throughout the UK. John is a Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development and a member of the Association of Management Development. He is continuing his research on 'Engaging People' via a DPhil. John also teaches Time Management.


Note that most of our open courses can also be run as in company events.
