This course will help you get up and running quickly and equip you with the knowledge, hands-on experience and confidence needed to run your WordPress website or blog.
On completion of this course you will be able to:
- set up web hosting and download and install WordPress
- build, administer and update a website or blog using WordPress
- add and configure WordPress plug-ins and widgets.
This course has a maximum of 8 delegates, each with sole use of a networked PC, to ensure personal attention from the tutor.
What is not included?
The course does not include any CSS tuition or code hacking. If you are a developer or experienced WordPress user this course may not be advanced enough for you.

Your tutor
Sue Davis has been a freelance web consultant for more than ten years. She has been using WordPress to design and develop blogs and CMS-based websites since 2007. She has advised organisations including Channel 4 Television on editing for the web; designed websites for UNICEF, the BBC, Channel 4 and many other businesses and charities; and presented TV programmes about the Internet for BBC2 (Computers Don't Bite) and Sky TV (Download).
Note that most of our short courses can also be run as in-company events.
