E-books have finally hit the big time and look set to be a growth market for years to come. This one day course will give you the fundamentals for developing a sound e-book strategy that will help you avoid the pitfalls and maximise the revenue opportunities.
It will save you time and money by giving you an overview of the key areas to focus on, and will give you a strategy for making e-book publishing a streamlined part of your publishing process.

Who will benefit from this course?
This course is designed for book publishers who want to make the transition into e-book publishing. People attending could be from production, sales, rights or editorial.
Your tutors
Katy Loffman is a Digital Publishing Consultant, who has worked on both ends of the digital market, selling and buying digital products including e-books. Her background is in general publishing, but she has worked for a variety of publishers including digital publishers, trade and academic publishers, and a literary agency. She also teaches on the Selling Rights course. She has an MA in electronic publishing.
Gordon Plant is a Technology Consultant with long experience of helping publishers adapt their workflows to new technologies. He has been a consultant to several major UK educational publishers for over 10 years. He is also a contributor to the Interactive Multimedia MA course at Bath Spa University.
Note that most of our open courses can also be run as in-company events.
