  • Strategies and skills of negotiating
  • Practice negotiations in pairs and teams
  • Planning for effective negotiation

 

Day two

  • Work-related negotiations exercises and feedback
  • Effective verbal and non-verbal behaviour
  • Individual coaching for effective negotiation

 

Your tutors
Your tutors are Ann Jackman and Elaine Smith. Ann is an independent training and management consultant who works in both the public and the private sector. Before setting up her own business as a training consultant in 1990, Ann worked with the Metropolitan Police as a senior civilian manager, a trainer and an internal management consultant. Elaine had a successful career in the Metropolitan Police Service as a senior manager and HR professional, culminating in leading a personnel development strategy for 15,000 managers and support staff. Elaine went on to establish her own successful training and development consultancy in 1994, later teaming up with David Elliott, Judith Jewell & Chris Williams to form indigo & associates Ltd in 2003. Elaine has also worked as an associate tutor at the Chartered Management Institute and at the National School of Government, where she gained experience of developing trainers and training managers working towards nationally recognised qualifications.


Note that most of our open courses can also be run as in company events.
