XML is a technology that can bring greater efficiency and speed to various publishing workflows and is well integrated into Adobe InDesign CS3+. With XML it is possible to transfer structured data into and out of InDesign files. This can be used for any number of reasons, including exporting data from print layouts for use on web pages, creating business cards from simple spreadsheet files and automating the production of catalogues and directories.
This course is designed to give you both an understanding of XML, its creation and manipulation, as well as hands-on experience of working with XML in Adobe InDesign. No experience of XML is required, although delegates should have practical experience of using Adobe InDesign.
