This course is intended for editors, managers, administrators, designers, and other non-technical users.
It will begin with an overview of terms and technologies before moving on to hands-on practical exercises, first looking at (X)HTML (the simple mark-up language that creates most web pages), and then moving on to editing and updating a site, using the industry standard software, Adobe Dreamweaver.
The course does not cover the creation of new websites, but rather managing an existing site.

Your tutor
Andrew Moreton has worked in electronic publishing since 1989, initially as a graphic designer but also as a consultant and systems integrator. Later he became involved in multimedia design for CD-ROM and kiosk installations. Now, most of his work involves teaching and the web, but he still does some print based design. He's written a book – Building websites Using HTML and CSS in No Time – and develops training materials and delivers courses for a wide range of organisations, including the AA, The London Illustrated News Group, QVC, The Royal Navy, Pera Innovations Group and Yahoo. Andrew is an Adobe Certified Instructor.
Note that most of our open courses can also be run as in-company events.
