EPUB Essentials
This is a hands-on, practical workshop on how to use EPUB, intended to give people within publishing the knowledge and skills to allow them to maintain, correct and enhance EPUB files. The course will include opportunities to discuss your real-world EPUB problems and give you the tools to solve them.
The course will include common problems with practical demonstrations and will show you:
- how to best take advantage of the EPUB format
- how to solve common EPUB problems
- how to insert audio and video into EPUB files
- resolving formatting issues with CSS
- how to maintain EPUB files
- how to ensure that they covert well to the Kindle.
Note: in order to take this course, you must have some experience of HTML, XML and CSS. You will also need to have some familiarity with the EPUB file format.
You will gain hands-on experience on either an Apple Mac or PC, which is pre-loaded with all the latest software, including Adobe CS 5.5.
