Legacy print publications are being given a new lease of life through the deployment of scanning and digitising technologies. This one-day course works through the rationale behind a decision to convert backlist titles into digital formats and reviews the available technologies and their benefits. The course also covers the decisions to be made about final delivery formats.

Your Tutor

Jeremy Mills was Group Sales and Marketing Director for The Charlesworth Group and worked in strategic development consultancy roles for publishing supply companies in the UK, USA and India. In 2003 he founded his own book publishing company, Jeremy Mills Publishing, which specialises in using modern, digital technologies and internet sales for non-fiction titles. In May 2007 he became co-owner and was appointed Finance Director of Riley Dunn & Wilson Limited, and has embarked on a programme of diversification into digital short run book printing. In addition to this position, Jeremy still fulfils the role of Publisher and Director of Jeremy Mills Publishing, which was incorporated into the Riley Dunn & Wilson Group of Companies in May 2009.
