Digitising your Backlist
Legacy print publications are being given a new lease of life through the deployment of scanning and digitising technologies. This one-day course works through the rationale behind a decision to convert backlist titles into digital formats and reviews the available technologies and their benefits. The course also covers the decisions to be made about final delivery formats.
At the end of the course you will:
- have a thorough, practical understanding of the processes and techniques available
- feel confident making decisions about transforming legacy materials
- understand the trade-off between quality and cost
- be able to recognise the known pitfalls and how to avoid them.
