Creating E-Books
As reading and tablet devices such as the Kindle and iPad, become ubiquitous, e-book development has to be a significant part of publishers’ product offering and workflow.
What are the steps required to introduce e-book production into the publishing workflow? What are the different platforms and formats that need to be targeted? What tools are available to help editors and designers build on their existing skills?
Over the two days, you will learn about the different platforms and how appropriate they are for different kinds of content.
You will learn:
- how to create an e-book for devices that support the EPUB standard
- how to convert for the Amazon Kindle
You will gain hands-on experience on either an Apple Mac or PC, which is pre-loaded with all the latest software, including Adobe CS 5.5.
