Copy-Editing Skills Tutors

Each course is led by one of a team of seven editorial and publishing experts. Crucially, each is currently working as a copy-editor, either for a major publisher or as a freelancer. They bring a wealth of experience to the course, and are up to date on the latest trends and issues in the industry.

• Andrew Steeds runs Simply Put, a company that offers writing, project management and consultancy to organisations
• Gillian Clarke has been a freelance editor since 1975 and is a founding member of the SfEP

• Sonia Clark works as a freelance publishing trainer, copy-editor, proofreader, project manager and publisher.

• Melanie McRae is a freelance Editorial Consultant and runs her own limited company, EDT (Editorial, Design and Training services).
