Better Business Writing

Communication has always been important at work, but arguably never more so than now. With an ever-expanding range of communication media, you need to adapt your writing for a variety of purposes and widely different readers.

It will also help you:

  • write more effectively
  • boost your confidence when writing at work.

This course does not cover creative writing, areas covered will include memos, reports, writing for the web, and much more. You will be asked to critically appraise various pieces of writing across a range of media to produce your own writing in response to clearly defined guidelines, and to discuss the conventions and protocols of different writing types.
