Simon Stokes
Simon Stokes has over 20 years' experience in publishing and intellectual property law.
He leads his firm's London publishing practice and is recognised by the UK legal directories for his work in IP and publishing/media, Technology, and Outsourcing: "He is an expert in his field and gives clear and swift advice" (Chambers UK Legal Directory – IP 2010/2011).
Simon is a visiting research fellow at Bournemouth Law School and regularly speaks at seminars and gives publishing and IP training to clients and through the PTC and ALPSP. He has written three books, Art & Copyright (2nd edition 2011), Digital Copyright: Law & Practice (3rd edition 2009), and Artist's Resale Right: Law and Practice, and is also the news editor for the Computer and Telecommunications Law Review.
Simon is strongly committed to his work advising publishers across a wide range of sectors ranging from start-ups to multinationals and he also serves as a trustee of the leading Christian publisher SPCK, founded in 1698, one of the UK's oldest publishers.
